CHÚA NHẬT  LỄ MÌNH MÁU THÁNH CHÚA KITÔ. THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST. (A)

John 6:51-58

- Jesus said to the Jewish crowds: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have  life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died  Whoever eats this bread  “will live forever.”

 Tóm lược: 

- Bài Tin Mừng hôm nay thuật lại cho chúng ta lời nói của Chúa Giêsu với người Do Thái, Ngài là bánh hằng sống. Ai ăn bánh này thì sẽ được sống đời đời. Và bánh Ngài sẽ ban, chính là thịt Ngài để cho thế gian được sống. Tình yêu của Chúa Giêsu đối với nhân loại thật cao cả. Ngài lấy thân xác của Ngài làm của ăn, nuôi linh hồn của chúng ta trong cuộc lữ hành về quê trời. Vì thế, khi chúng ta rước Mình và Máu Thánh Chúa là chúng ta đón nhận tình yêu thương bao la và quyền năng của Thiên Chúa.

Summary:

- Today’s Gospel relates to us what Jesus told to the Jews, that He is the living bread and whoever eats this bread will live forever. The bread that He will give is His flesh for the life of the world. Jesus’ love for us is immense, for He uses His flesh to be the food that would nurture our souls through our journey to heaven. Therefore, when we receive the body and blood of Christ we are receiving the immense love and power of God.  

Suy niệm:

1-  Chúa Giêsu nói: “Ai ăn thịt ta và uống máu ta thì sẽ được sống đời đời.” Câu này chúng ta phải hiểu thế nào?

2-  Nếu chúng ta hiện diện vào lúc Chúa Giêsu nói lời này, phản ứng của chúng ta ra sao?

Reflection:

1- Jesus said: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.” How should we understand this phrase?

2- If we were presented during the time when Jesus said this, how would we have reacted?

Thực Hành:

- Khi có giờ rãnh, chúng ta hãy vào nhà thờ để thờ lại Chúa.

Trẻ em:- Khi cha dâng Mình Thánh lên, em hãy nói: “Lạy chúa là Chúa Trời con.”

Living God’s Words this week:

- When you have free time, take a moment to go to Church to pray and worship God.

Youth: - When the priest showing the Holy Body and the Holy Blood, say: “Dear God you are my God.”

Cầu Nguyện:

- Lạy Chúa con xin cám ơn chúa đã hiện diện trong phép thánh thể làm của ăn cho chúng con. Xin cho chúng con nhận ra tình yêu thương bao la của Chúa mổi khi chúng con rước Mình và Máu Thánh Chúa và đem chia sẻ cho mọi người xung quanh con. Amen.

Prayer:

- Dear God, I thank you for being presented in the Sacrament of the Eucharist to be our food. Please help us realize Your greatest love for us whenever we receive Your body and Your blood within us so that we can go and share it to those around us, Amen.
